[ Eames is gentle and quick as he brings the cord around and does the clasp up, a satisfied smile on his face when he dips his head to kiss the back of Arthur's neck after. ]

[Arthur hums happily and twists back around, bringing both hands up to rest on Eames' cheeks. He smiles warmly, so genuinely happy right now.]

I love you.

[ Eames smiles back and wraps his arms around Arthur. ]

You better.

[Arthur shakes his head and leans down for another kiss, nice and soft and slow to really savour the moment.]

[ Eames sinks down to lay back against the couch, pulling Arthur with him. That seems like what this moment needs. ]

[Arthur easily melts with him, craving the closeness more than anything particularly arousing. He's full from breakfast and Eames gave him a pretty good workout this morning, so all he wants is to lay here with Eames. To soak in this man and this feeling until he's satisfied.]

[ Eames trails the fingers of a hand up and down Arthur's back with a soft sigh, exceedingly happy just to stay here until Arthur wants to do something else. He lifts his head just enough to kiss the top of Arthur's head and murmurs softly into his hair. ]

[Arthur nuzzles in a little and sighs happily.]

[ he snorts ]

I do.

[specifiercity]

I know.

[Eames gets a kiss.]

Are you sure? I can say it again if you want.

[ he grins, now he's just being a nuisance and he knows it ]

[Arthur grins, feeling a bit ridiculous over how giddy it makes him feel.]

I do like hearing it. And it is my birthday.

[ Eames breathes a soft, affectionate laugh and nods. ]

Well then happy birthday, and I love you so very much.

[specifiercity]

[It's still hard to believe, the fact that this incredibly handsome immortal being feels that way for him. But Eames can't lie, so it has to be true. And that's pretty fucking special.]

[ He smiles and lifts a hand to cup Arthur's face and coax him into a kiss. ]

[That's easy enough to do. Honestly Arthur could spend all day here alternating naps and lowkey makeouts.]
