[Arthur finally tries to twist in Eames' grip, but it's for good reason. He wants to give him a goddamn proper kiss already.]

[ Okay, okay. Eames loosens his grip so Arthur can turn around, smiling affectionately into that kiss. ]

[Arthur indulges in that for a moment, arms wrapped loosely around Eames’ shoulders. When he pulls back he glances down at his cardigan, smiling wryly back up at Eames and asking:]

So?

[ Eames looks down at it and tilts his head a little in consideration. It's not one he could picture Arthur buying himself, but it does fit his style pretty seamlessly. More importantly though-- ]

Is it strange to think there's something especially sexy about you in a cardigan without a shirt?

[ he doesn't think so ]

[specifiercity]

[He snorts softly.]

Unexpected, maybe.

[Then he raises an eyebrow.]

What do you like about it?

[ Hm. ]

The way it emphasises your collarbones and chest for one.

[ He rests his hands on Arthur's hips and steps back to look, and then very nearly laughs because of what he's about to say. ]

I think something about it being a cardigan pushes it a little toward the realm of 'sexy librarian', but I mean that as a compliment.

[specifiercity]

[Arthur barks a laugh at that, adjusting the way his arms are lazily looped around Eames' neck.]

Oh, so it would get you going if I started explaining the Dewey Decimal System to you, would it?

[He shimmies his hips a little, playfully.]

I'm sure there's a way.

[ He grins and steps in close again ]

[specifiercity]

[He laughs and gives him a kiss.]

Well, it's too bad I don't know it.

[And another one for good measure.]

And if I did, I'd need coffee first.

[falsify]

Okay, okay.

[ First another kiss. ]

I'll make us breakfast.

[specifiercity]

Thank you.

[He grins and gives Eames' cheek a kiss before he pulls away to let him cook.]

[ Hey man do you know what's super fucking rare around here? Bacon. Don't you worry about that little paper parcel Eames is pulling out of the fridge and taking over to the cooker like it's no big deal. It's just bacon and eggs for breakfast, don't worry about it. ]

[Arthur's been busying himself with coffee, but when he notices that Eames has the good stuff out he makes a soft sound and comes over to put a hand on his shoulder.]

You're too good to me.

[falsify]

Nah. [ He smiles ] It's your birthday.

[specifiercity]

[Arthur leans over to kiss Eames' cheek and then he leaves him to it, going back to the coffee. When it's ready he'll pour a mug for Eames and leave it on the counter for him, and otherwise he's going to curl up at the table with his omni.]

[ It doesn't take long before Eames is bringing over two plates of bacon, eggs, and toast to the table with a smile, and he seats himself opposite Arthur with a smile. ]

[Arthur smiles and picks up his fork, looking down at his plate as he tries to decide what to eat first.]

This is amazing, thank you.

[falsify]

[ Eames breaths out a small, almost bashful laugh. ]

It's just bacon and eggs.

[specifiercity]

[Arthur shrugs, smiling as he takes his first bite.]

I like it when you cook for me.

[falsify]

[ He smiles right back. ]

You better, since I happen to like cooking for you.

[specifiercity]

[Arthur laughs, shaking his head and feeling his stomach twist a little at how fucking gross they are. He's just so in love and he feels loved, which isn't necessarily a new feeling but it's been a long time since he felt it, and this time feels different than the last.]

[ Eames is more than happy, eating quietly with the occasional look up at Arthur just. Super fondly. He loves this man so much. ]

[Arthur gets about halfway through his food before he feels the need to break the silence, looking up and out the window thoughtfully.]

I'll light a fire after we finish. We can have our coffee on the couch.

Sounds nice.

[ He can give Arthur his gift then too. Get some good makeouts in. He's looking forward to it. ]

[Arthur brushes Eames' ankle with his foot and keeps eating, very nearly dropping the L bomb again. He doesn't necessarily hold back out of fear or embarrassment, it's more that he doesn't want to overdo it.]
