[Arthur brushes Eames' ankle with his foot and keeps eating, very nearly dropping the L bomb again. He doesn't necessarily hold back out of fear or embarrassment, it's more that he doesn't want to overdo it.]
[ Eames finishes his food relatively fast (go figure, he used up a lot of morning energy) and gets up after a moment to top up both of their coffees. He leans over Arthur when he's back at the table to press a light kiss to his temple and combs his fingers lightly through his hair before he sits down. Just pure affection pouring out of him. ]
[It's a little overwhelming, but Arthur really likes how this feels. He still takes his time to finish his food, and afterwards he takes his dishes to the counter and comes back to Eames to bring him to the living room.]
[ Eames goes with and immediately sits and tugs on Arthur to get him to sit with. Yes he said he wanted to get the fire going, but what if he didn't and they just cuddled up on the sofa instead. ]
[Arthur almost regrets it for a moment, but he goes to the fireplace and quickly sets up the kindling and firewoood in a way that'll burn long and hot. It's silly to think that he learned these survival skills to, well, survive, and now he's using them to enjoy the ultimate luxury of curling up with his boyfriend in a safe and secure living room on a cozy winter day.]
[Anyway he flicks his wrist and the kindling alights with flame. He closes the grate and returns to Eames, looking satisfied with himself.]
[Arthur drapes himself on top of Eames, grinning and leaning in to kiss him now that they're both comfortable. He gropes around for a throw blanket to get even cozier, but the most important thing is kissing Eames.]
[ Oh, was somebody using a cheeky little glamour to hide a box on the coffee table? He sure was. Eames reached for it and the glamour faded as it came to his hand, just a simple, black jewellery box. Inside there was just a simple, black hoop knotted to a length of leather cord. The disc looked pitch black at first glance, but with deep blue hues when it caught the light in the right way. ]
[ He offered the box to Arthur with a soft smile. ]
[Arthur grins, excited as he takes the box and props himself up to open it. As soon as he sees the pendant his grin fades into something more awestruck and curious, and he runs his finger along the edge as he tilts it to see it in the light.]
[ Eames nods and makes a soft noise in confirmation, idly tucking some of Arthur's hair behind his ear. ]
Mine, specifically.
[ There's a part of him worried that Arthur would think it's weird and disgusting, but considering where they are and that crystallized blood jewellery is a thing in general, it shouldn't be too weird. But moreover, Eames has always been careful about his blood and who has, for lack of a better word, access to it. So Arthur should know how significant this is for him. ]
[Arthur has a feeling about the significance. He's read a lot about blood in general here, knows its value as a substance, and more than that he's always considered fae blood to be a relatively precious material. He'd never begrudge Eames being particularly sensitive about it regardless.]
[So he's careful when he picks up the pendant, brushing his thumb across the flat surface with a gentle reverance.]
I love it.
[He says that softly, then looks up at Eames with a smile full of adoration.]

I'll light a fire after we finish. We can have our coffee on the couch.

[ He can give Arthur his gift then too. Get some good makeouts in. He's looking forward to it. ]

Eames, I want to set up a fire.

But that takes so much longer than just sitting with me immediately.
no subject
But it'll be so nice and warm.

[ But also-- ] Well they don't sell Just For Men here, so I had to think of something new.

I only have a couple greys.
[He pulls his finger away and gives Eames a kiss. Then he holds up the necklace.]
Help put it on?
no subject
